I do not appreciate being shown disrespect for an art and a skill I love with a lot of passion, and am working hard at, by having someone (even an acquaintance) tell me that she wants to learn horse-riding simply because she's been watching a lot of Korean dramas and thinks riding is cool!

Don't give me this sort of bullshit claims of passion or interest. If your interest is stemmed simply from liking whatever actor or character looks cool while riding, that's fucking shit.

Every art, every skill, takes time, patience, dogged determination to try and try over and over again, persistence, perseverance, the ability to go beyond whatever frustrations and pitfalls one encounters. There'll be sweat, pain, harshness.

Not because, "Oh, I watch the Korean show and saw them riding, and think it's SO COOL!"
