Eragon the movie

It was the first time ever in my life of watching a film that I couldn't wait for it to end. And it was the first time ever I had to struggle to keep myself awake for a film which lasted a mere 90 minutes or so.

Plot? What plot?

The whole film was merely a jigsaw pieced together scene-by-scene by the merest thread of an attempted story. Continuity was often neglected in favor of the director's sense (or maybe it should be the author's) of progression, resulting in scene jumps which confused me greatly.

Barely 10 minutes into the film, and all the cliches flooded in, in the narration, in the character's speeches, in the history which drives each of them. It was a mere shadow and copy of many other stories which have already been told.

Much as I hate the Harry Potter idea and storylines, even those had many redeemable factors, and I'll certainly pick the most poorly-directed Potter film to waste my time on than to watch Eragon.

Don't waste your money. And definitely do not waste your brain matter watching this film.
