Joanne was sick today, and this guy, Tommy, took our lesson. We congregated in the paddock, and he started us on the girth and on warming the horses up, walking them.

I got Anna today, this large pony who's pretty patient and good-natured, even if I felt bad for "manhandling" her with my inexperience.

Then Tommy told us to start trotting, and he made me keep repeating the movements of the riding trot, which I still haven't gotten the hang of. I keep feeling like I'm about to lurch forward and fall over Anna's neck, especially if and when she stops suddenly. Any suggestions on that?

Other than that, I was able to keep pretty relaxed while walking her, even if she refused to listen to my leg and hand commands sometimes. >.<

Here are some pics, just for fun. And for those who're familiar with riding, please do comment on my form and stuff as well.

And oh, I've expressed my interest in working at the stables. Might take up the handler position. Will see how. Cross your fingers for me!
