Batman: The most mysterious creatures in the universe. (GL looks startledly at Batman) Women. Don't blame yourself. You didn't know she was promised.
GL: How'd you know?
Batman: Wasn't hard to figure out. Point is: these things happen. You just got to get over it.
GL: (turning away) Yeah. (smacks into J'onn)
J'onn: Believe me. I know what you're going through. When two people are involved so deeply-
Flash: (running to join them) Who's involved? (glances to GL) You and Hawkgirl? Get out! (no one laughs) Really?

J'onn: They're looking for the Justice League. If we're not in costumes, we're just ordinary citizens. (shape-shifts)
Flash: Hey, wait a minute! What about this whole secret identity thing? Not that I don't trust you guys, but I don't know if I'm ready to--
Batman: Wally West (thrusts finger into Flash's face). Clark Kent (gestures to Superman). (A pause) Bruce Wayne (takes off cowl).
Flash: (grinning in defeat) Show-off.
Diana/Wonder Woman: (ruffling Wally's hair) Red hair. It suits you.
Wally: (grinning) You think?
Bruce: (hurls clothes into Wally's face) Change. *Now*.

(In the Thanagarian war-craft they stole)
J'onn: It's no use. I don't know how to fly this thing.
Flash: Hey, what's this button do? (presses it and twin lasers hit part of Wayne Manor's wall, destroying it, revealing a startled Alfred sweeping up the glass pieces)
Batman: (grabbing Flash's costume and snarling) That's--not--helping.

Flash: So, what're we gonna use? [Or something to that effect]
Batman: You're standing right on it.
Flash: What--wait a minute? You mean we're gonna take the--
Batman: --Watchtower and drop it on their little science project.

J'onn: Is that the last of them?
Flash: Yeah. The Watchtower is officially pest-free (smacks his palms to get rid of imaginary dirt).
Batman: Good. (backs out of the escape pods and presses launch)
(J'onn and Flash spins around, glaring in horror at the ever farther Watchtower)
J'onn: What are you doing? (J'onn's voice is filled with the utmost horror)
Batman: I can't risk the Watchtower burning up upon re-entry. I'll have to guide it in manually. Gentlemen, it's been an honor.

Superman: Always have to be the hero, don'tcha?
Batman: (smiling a little) Right back atcha.

GL: So where are you going to go now?
Hawkgirl: Someplace where's there's no secret identities and no lies.
GL: Was it all a lie?
Hawkgirl: No. I do love you, John. (turns away, spreads her wings, and takes off)
GL: (tears spilling from his eyes) I love you too.
